Road Scholar programs
The Audubon Center of the Northwoods offers both weeks in residence and road trips. Kate coordinates the resident weeks and I do some teaching and driving. The resident programs are called the Migration Mystery weeks - in the summer it is a focus on loons and in the fall on hawks. In addition, the weeks mix wolves and regional history. The driving trips is along both the North and South Shores of Lake Superior with time in the Apostle Islands, Porcupine Mountains wilderness state park, and the Keweenaw National Historic park on the south and Split rock lighthouse, Gooseberry Falls, Grand Portage National Monument, and the Superior Hiking Trail on the North - each day featuring 3 - 6 miles of hiking on unique and beautiful trails.
